Belgravia in Bloom Guide – Where to See the Flowers & Map

One of my favorite things about spring in London is the flowers. The city bursts open with bulbs and blooms, and everything looks bright for the season. To celebrate, London hosts a number of floral festivals each May. While the most famous ones are in Chelsea, neighboring Belgravia gets in on the fun, too. The area’s streets, courtyards, and shopfronts come alive in a riot of flowers and foliage for a week each year. If you want to see it, read on for my guide to the Belgraiva in Bloom festival. Belgravia in Bloom

Belgravia in Bloom is a floral art festival that coincides with the annual Chelsea Flower Show each May. But unlike the show, it’s free and open to the public.

Local shops, cafes, restaurants, florists, and hotels get into the seasonal spirit, show off their creative skills, and vie with one another for the title of best display.

Each year there’s a different theme, and businesses think outside the box in their interpretations of it. From colors and shapes to larger-than-life installations, the competition brings out the best in every entrant.

Best of all, locals and visitors get to soak up the scenery and see stunning floral art displays in one of the most beautiful London neighborhoods. I look forward to it every year. I hope this blog post inspires you to do the same.

How to Get Here

Belgravia is centrally located near Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. The nearest tube stations to Belgravia in Bloom are Victoria, Knightsbridge, Sloane Square, and Hyde Park Corner.

The area is also served by mainline trains to Victoria station, long-distance buses to Victoria Coach Station, and local buses to various points throughout the area.

You can also arrive by bicycle, scooter, or on foot from neighboring areas like Chelsea, Victoria, Pimlico, Knightsbridge, and Westminster.

When to See the Flowers

If you want to see Belgravia in Bloom, you’ll need to time your visit wisely. All the flowers are fresh, so the festival only runs for seven days.

It usually takes place from Monday to Sunday on the third week of May, and it’s always on the same week as the Chelsea Flower Show and the Chelsea in Bloom festival.

Where to See the Flowers

So where can you see the floral installations for Belgravia in Bloom? The short answer is that you can find them all throughout the neighborhood.

The long answer is that there are a few main spots where you can see the majority of the displays, and other tucked-away areas and one-off facades where you can find floral art dotted throughout the streets.

The epicenter of Belgravia in Bloom is Elizabeth Street. This road is bursting with floral facades year-round, but it takes things to the next level during the festival. Shops go all-out to decorate for the occasion, and the result is stunning.

Other streets with participating businesses include Eccleston Street, Pimlico Road, and Motcomb Street. There’s a smattering of displays on Ebury Street and some great hidden ones in Eccleston Yards, too.

Where to Stay

If you want to stay in the area during Belgravia in Bloom, there’s lots of good accommodation to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a boutique bolthole, an apartment rental, or one of London’s most iconic luxury hotels, there’s something for you.

Where to Eat and Drink

If you love shopping, you’re in luck. Belgravia is home to amazing boutiques, many of which go all-out for the festival. Whether you’re looking for clothing, accessories, or something else entirely, this place has you covered.

Additionally, a number of shops in the area host floral-themed events, sell limited-edition products, and offer promotions and experiences throughout Belgravia in Bloom.
